Of Dharmic Proportions: Musings on the Bhagavad Gita

By Stephanie K Snyder

You are standing in the center of your life and in the middle of a Great Struggle.  You can’t remember who you are, yet you are on the brink of touching the most Divine revelation in your life.  A friend of many lifetimes-- with a firm grip and eyes of infinity, holds you and says to you, in your Life and Strife--

“Now is the time of your life-get the job done.  Work passionately.  The Universe serves those who act, not in vain, but in pure, unbounded Love . . . .so therefore, let go of the fruits of your actions, for Love does not expect reward.  And then, give it all to something bigger that supports the reality that one’s destiny is All Destiny.”

Every part of you-in some deep down kinda way says, “Yes!  Yes-this!”   And, yet, it is the hardest thing to actualize.  You see the conundrum of the Divine.  The destiny of what it means to be human in Divine circumstances.  –Or, rather, what it means to be divine in Human circumstances.

What if you live the life you are in-be it extraordinary within the ordinary, or ordinary within the extraordinary?  Every breath; every right here, right now; every day-to-day; every embrace, turning-away and surprise is the actualization of something bigger.  You live this Life so fully, in a most deep and humble bow of gratitude that whatever the path realized, IS the dharma awakened.  And in this way the life being lived through you is no longer conundrum, but the exact point the Divine is trying to make.  At the center is YOU in all your serendipitous and awakened Potential!

So, you turn towards your friend, and that friend is a reflection of you-that friend IS YOU!  And the Divine!  And for a glimmering moment—and for an eternity—you see, you KNOW that that you are made, like the one who stands before you-whole and perfect and of the same stuff.  You remember who you are and what you are here for.  -To be the reflection of pure unbridled Love that shimmers at the heart of All, great and small.

Walk the path that is yours and see the shimmering truth of who you are at the center of everything.  The compassionate heart opens to those who seek Love. <3
